Pace Classifications
REC
– Recreational ride, pace averaging 12-14 mph.
ADV – Advanced ride, pace averaging 16-18 mph.
TBD – Pace determined by participants at start of ride.
Note: Coordinators may adjust the ride to match the weather and participants wants. Riders are responsible for knowing the route and being safe.
Helmets are required.
Rides are open to adults age 18 and up.

If it looks like a ride may be cancelled due to bad weather, check for updates on the Facebook page for Chain Gang Bicycle & Adventure. Or contact the ride coordinator.

The St. Clair County Library is sponsoring a talk by Barbara Oakley, an author and professor at Oakland University, on Learning to Learn at 6 p.m. in SC4’s Fine Arts Building. Sunday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m.  New Horizon Band Holiday Concert
In the mood for more music of the season? The New Horizon Band will present a holiday concert at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1923 Garfield, Port Huron. No charge but donations appreciated. There may even be a sing-along!

Mitch Albom will be at McMorran to talk about his new book, The Next Person You Meet in Heaven. Sponsored by Town Hall, tickets are $40 and include his book. Seating is probably reserved, so if interested in sitting together, contact Gail before Nov. 15. She will purchase tickets on Nov. 15. This play about Jack Frost’s search for love in the North Pole will be presented at the Citadel Stage, 609 Huron Avenue, Port Huron. NOTE: Our cycle season typically runs from Mid-April through the end of September. Impromptu bike rides, hikes, cross-country ski outings, kayak paddles, and more may be posted and announced as weather and interest allows.

PARTICIPANTS ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT CHAIN GANG PARTICIPANTS, INCLUDING THEMSELVES, OFTEN ENGAGE IN OTHER OUTDOOR ADVENTURES SUCH AS KAYAKING AND HIKING. PARTICIPANTS RELEASE AND WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AGAINST THE CHAIN GANG, ITS PARTICIPANTS AND/OR COORDINATORS, FOR ALL DAMAGES INCURRED AT OR ASSOCIATED WITH ANY CHAIN GANG ACTIVITY FOR THEMSELVES, THEIR HEIRS, THEIR EXECUTORS AND THEIR ASSIGNS.
